If you're running MacOS™ 8, this Desktop Picture will fully Panic-ize your desktop. Some may call it propaganda, but not us! (Besides, it's the only easy way to make your desktop look just like the desktops of Panic employees!)
This picture includes a nice little blue-shaded area in the upper-left hand corner to "contain" your volumes for easy visual segregation, and a little blue glow underneath your Trashcan (assuming it's in the lower-right hand corner of the desktop and snapped-to-grid).
how to change your desktop picture
To install if you're using MacOS 8.5:
• Open the "Appearance" control panel
• Click on the "Desktop" tab
• Drag the "PanicScape" file on top of the miniature desktop view in the control panel.
• Click "Set Desktop" and you're done!
To install if you're using MacOS 8.0 or 8.1:
• Simply double-click the "PanicScape" file and Desktop Pictures should automatically install!
or,
• Open the "Desktop Pictures" control panel
• Click the "Picture" button
• Drag the "PanicScape" file on top of the miniature desktop view in the control panel.
• Hit "Set Desktop" and you're set!
This picture will, of course, also work with other "desktop pictures" utilities for the Mac.
The "PanicScape" picture is a 1024 x 768 JPEG file. It looks best in thousands of colors (or above). If you have a higher or lower resolution screen, Desktop Pictures will automatically scale the file to fit as long as you select "Scale To Screen" from the positioning menu in the Desktop Pictures control panel.
